Pursuit in the Clouds

Jellyfish are infinitely fascinating creatures; they have no heart, lungs, brain, or blood and are 98% water, yet they survived what the dinosaurs have not and have even adapted to benefit from climate change. The natural human tendency to capture nature’s magical abilities will never be strong enough to contain even the most undersea creatures, who will use their resilience to escape to the clouds if need be. This was done with gouache and acrylic on watercolor paper.
