Tabula Rasa is now accepting submissions for the 1st quarterly theme in the 2024-2025 year. We welcome any and all creative/artistic submissions (poetry, prose, art, photography, music scores, etc.) Submit for the opportunity to share your voice and vision with a wider audience.
1st Quarterly Theme: "Contrast"
Light and dark, love and hate, life and death. Good and evil, beauty and ugliness, order and chaos. In what ways do expectations differ from reality? How do opposite ideas negate each other or coexist as a paradox? Where do you find contrast in the world? And how can you explore the tensions between contrasting ideas, through subversion, juxtaposition, contradiction?
You can play with the idea of "contrast" not only in topic, but also in the form of your pieces (e.g. a contrapuntal or diptych. Or submit a pair of works!).
"Where there is light, there must be a shadow; where there is shadow there must be light" - Haruki Murakami, 1Q84
Deadline
December 6, 2024
Submission Guidelines
All pieces should be submitted through this google form. There is no limit to the number of submissions.
We look forward to reading your work! Contact us at tabularasasubmissions@pinewood.edu if you have any questions.
