James' Spaces

Since this semester's theme was “space” I took the theme very literally by painting three watercolors, all of which are related.  In addition, they all reflect a less literal space in that they came completely from my imaginative “space” in my head. The first of these watercolors is a spacesuit design for one of my original characters. This painting represents space by portraying a spacesuit. The second piece, “Comet Shower” portrays the same character, in the spacesuit, floating in space while a comet shower passes by him. The final piece, “Space Odyssey”, depicts the same character in the same spacesuit, orbiting a planet whilst being connected to a spaceship in the background. These last two are quite self explanatory in terms of representing space as they both take place in space.
