Introduction to Spaces

This quarter’s theme for Tabula Rasa, Pinewood’s award-winning literary and art magazine: “Spaces.”

Tell us about liminal space, outer space, negative space. About the space between people or the spaces in human relationships. What does “space” mean to you? Is it full, or full of absence? Is it physical or intangible? Where does it appear the most in your life? Is it something to be appreciated, or something to be steered clear of? You can play with the idea of “spaces” not only in topic, but also in the form of your pieces. This quarter’s theme is purposely open-ended—and remember, these questions are just meant to serve as inspiration for your pieces. You may interpret the theme however you’d like.
